Less text, more focus

Each slide should communicate one idea. If you need a paragraph, you probably need two slides.

Audiences read faster than presenters speak, so sparse text keeps attention on the speaker.

Consistent spacing and alignment

Alignment creates visual order. Elements that line up look intentional; elements that do not look broken.

Use the same margins and spacing throughout the deck to maintain a professional rhythm.

Contrast for emphasis

The most important element on each slide should be the most visually distinct: larger, bolder, or differently colored.

If everything is emphasized, nothing is. Choose one focal point per slide.
